Don Avjean

Don Avjean is Senior VP of Business Development and Public Affairs, leading all operations initiatives for the brand and providing guidance on local and state ordinances within each of the markets. Don’s extensive OOH career spans nearly 50 years, from his early start as an electrician’s helper to holding various vice president positions in government affairs, real estate and operations with Gannett Outdoor of New Jersey, Metromedia, Viacom Outdoor, CBS Outdoor, and eventually forming his own company and consulting firm. Don was inducted into the Outdoor Advertising Hall of Fame in 2017. Prior to joining Verde Outdoor in 2021, Don was Vice President Government Affairs of Outfront Media, a position he held since 2001 before retiring from his role in July 2020.
